Dubai Museum of the Future Sets Its Sights on Robotics With China Agreement

DUBAI // The Museum of the Future has linked up with the Chinese city of Shenzhen to develop the robotics industry in both cities.

An agreement between the Dubai museum and the Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation will promote an exchange of talent and ideas.

Saif Al Aleeli, chief executive of the Dubai Museum of the Future Foundation, said joining one of the world’s leading manufacturing and technological cities would further promote the UAE’s regional and global importance in innovation and entrepreneurship.

“Shenzhen is the leading centre for creative manufacturing in the world. Almost every single new innovative device and product on the market is made or designed in Shenzhen,” Mr Al Aleeli said.

“This partnership gives us direct access to the most creative hardware ideas on the planet.”

Wang Shi, chairman of the Shenzhen Foundation, said it was looking forward to collaborating with Dubai, which he called a “global market integrator”.

The Museum of the Future opened to the public this month in a temporary exhibition at the World Government Summit.

Its permanent site is planned to open on December 2, 2018, in the Emirates Tower area near Sheikh Zayed Road.
